DeLorenzo Bcak in Victory Lane at Fonda; The last time a racing program was rained out at Fonda back in the middle of the month of May, defending Modified Track Champion Matt DeLorenzo came back the following week and won the feature event.
“We must have been going pretty good because I saw a lot of good cars back there that we were fortunate enough to put a lap down,” he said. “I really have to thank my father Tom and my brother Mike because we really don’t have a lot of help on this car along with my sponsors and my fans.”

So far the 2007 season has been one to remember for Matt DeLorenzo who has gone to victory lane a total of four times at the Fonda Speedway. Last Saturday DeLorenzo scored his third win in a row with another commanding performance at the Track of Champions.
Matt DeLorenzo is quickly becoming a dominant force at the Fonda Speedway in 2007 and on Saturday evening he proved it yet again as he cruised to his third victory of the season and the seventh of his career in the modified division at the Track of Champions.
Last week Matt DeLorenzo had a possible win taken away from him when he suffered a flat left front tire with only three laps to go relegating him to a third place finish. For DeLorenzo it was his fifth career modified feature win at Fonda

Matt DeLorenzo took a tip from a competitor Friday night and came away with his second win of the season in the 35-lap 358 modified feature at Albany-Saratoga Speedway.
Matty D gets 'er done with drama at the Bowl. DeLorenzo passed Robert King on the final lap to score his first career 358 modified win in the 4th of July special, which treated a Kids' Night capacity crowd to one of the biggest fireworks displays ever seen in the state of Vermont.
Matt DeLorenzo got rid of a label Friday night. No longer will he be known as the best young driver who's never won a 358-modified feature at Albany-Saratoga Speedway. Taking advantage of some bad luck for defending track champion Brett Hearn, DeLorenzo took the checkered flag at the Malta track for the first time in his career in the 70-lap “Double Trouble Friday” feature.
From that point on DeLorenzo turned on the after burners as he cruised to a straightaway win over Decker, Camara, Romano, and Trombley For DeLorenzo it was his second win of the 2006 season and fourth of his career in the modified division at Fonda.
The guests for this weeks show include recent opening night Fonda Speedway modified feature winner, young Matt DeLorenzo, an emerging star at the "Track of Champions" raceway, who also had a win in his sights a week earlier, until tire troubles took him out of the running late in the fray.
